Macintosh is now a stable operating system. In fact the Wall Street Journal says that Panther OS X.3 is the most stable OS for any system ever.
Is Chess Informant planning to produce a multi-system CD or DVD for Macintosh and Windows users?

I have nothing against stability of BSD and new MacOS in particular, but WSJ is not the best source for software reviews ;-)
Back to subject, I don't think it will be available soon, as CIE is developed with Borland Delphi which does not support Mac as target. The only choice to run it natively on Mac is if Sahovski developers create a Linux port using Kylix. But I don't believe they are going to do this: Kylix porting is very troublesome and buggy, and needs much more resources than they can afford, especially because of very small demand.

Just for information, The Wall Street Journal has a Software section which many people who wish to purchase software rely on.
They test all new products, Virus Software, Operating Systems,
Computers and Browsers.
They indicate what "BUGS" are in each OS system, and what is good or wrong with new Computer equipment.
Once a month they they have a Technology (Computer) Section on new products.
The person who runs the column has been doing it ever since the early 1990's.
My original question should have been what is planned for the future of Chess informant. Since Macintosh does accept PGN downloads and even some Chess Base products.
chessmaster for Macintosh for instance manufactured by Feral not by UBI. I am guessing that in the near future some product will be able to import any Chess product into Linux. Which would probably be
a Microsoft Product. Microsoft does own a conversion program,
Windows to Macintosh, which although not in its early stages, requires some improvements.
Thank You for the answer anyway.

For Macintosh Users:
I just tested a Microsoft Product for Macintosh.
The product is the Windows XL with Virtual PC for Macintosh.
I tested various Windows based Chess Software, and database products. The CDs worked fine.
So now Macintosh users can now run Chess Informant products in the Window format on their computers.
The only drawback from a test by MacWorld Magazine.
Some Window chess products which have a 3d feature will not appear. Only the 2D feature.
Also note that the product, Virtual PC is very easy to use.
Stability is quite good. You do not have to partition your Computer into Windows and Macintosh. The new Virtual PC works as a regular application in the Macintosh system, and you can switch back and forth, between Windows and Macintosh with the click of a Mouse.
Recommended: First start Windows, then install a Chess CD, or DVD.
The product will read the CD or DVD, and you can open it.
I tested products from a Database Chess Company, and everything ran. Note: You can also download a Windows CHess product into Virutual PC. Printing: Printing works fine.
To make the product easy to use, (USER FRIENDLY), Microsoft places an icon on the DOCK. So the product is always available.
The product Windows XL comes in various versions.
Also comes with Office for Macintosh Professional.
In effect, you are no longer denied from using Informant products on your Macintosh.

The new Intel Macs.
With Parallels or VM Fusion, two programs which allow the use of Window Programs with the Intel Mac.
In previous Posts there was an indication of Virtual Windows.
That program will only work with Macs OS 10 to 10.4 (Tiger).
Microsoft no longer supports the program.
Parallels which I use runs Windows perfectly.
According to bench marks from MacWorld, the new Intel Mac operates faster than Window computers.
If you have Chess Informant products, an Intel Mac with any of the above programs will operate the products just fine.
