Chess is already at
least 1000 years old in which time the original
rules have been much modified.
The final modification - castling in one
move rather than as previously
in two - was introduced as late as the
middle of the 16th
century.
The first chess beginner
"DAMIANO" was published in the Italian and Spanish language in Rome in
1512.
